More Than a Building

This Center is more than a building. It's a shared commitment. A community-built space where the whole community is welcome to join us as we value and support autistic, neurodiverse, and developmentally disabled individuals and their families who find connection, support with systems navigation, and care.

The broader community is welcome! Community only works if everyone has a seat at the table.

With heartfelt appreciation,
Michelle Whitlow, M.S., Executive Director and EVERYONE involved with the Lewis County Autism Coalition.

About the Center

The Spectrum & Development Community Center began as a shared dream between LCAC Executive Director Michelle Whitlow, M.S., and Chanel Patana, PNP, of Lewis County Pediatrics & Family Medicine, rooted in a mutual commitment to improving health equity for rural families.

The facility is home to both Lewis County Pediatrics & Family Medicine and the Spectrum & Development Community Center (powered by the Lewis County Autism Coalition) — two distinct organizations with one shared purpose: creating a seamless pathway from care to community.

The Center offers coordinated, person-centered supports, inclusive programming, peer connection, and practical navigation for individuals and families impacted by autism, neurodivergence, and developmental disabilities.

Why It Matters

For too long, families in rural communities have faced long drives, long waitlists, and fragmented services. Now, community members have access to a welcoming, sensory-aware space designed to reduce isolation and bring supports closer to home.

Lived Experience Matters

A place where relationships come first and every person is met with dignity, acceptance, and real opportunity.

Closer to Home

Reducing isolation and bringing supports directly to rural Lewis County so families no longer face long drives and fragmented services.

Sensory-Aware

A welcoming, thoughtfully designed space where every individual feels safe, accepted, and supported.

The Origin Story

Born from a beautifully coincidental meeting of the minds between LCAC Executive Director Michelle Whitlow, M.S., and Chanel Patana, PNP. Dr. Real McGraw and his family (Napavine Family Chiropractic) owned an adjacent lot and offered support, building the new facility to house this shared vision.

The result: a 5,000 sq ft community center at 375 Linhart Ave NE, Suite B, Napavine, Washington — on the right side of the building — where care and community meet under one roof.
